Our school community has a duty to safeguard and promote the welfare of all our pupils.  We have a robust Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy which parents are welcome to view and a copy is available on our website.  An Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Check (DBS) is required of all staff including our volunteers and supply staff.

Sometimes we need to share information and work in partnership with other agencies when there are concerns about a child’s welfare.  We will always ensure that concerns about our pupils are discussed with their parents / carers first, unless we have reason to believe that this is not in the child’s best interests.

The documents below some of which have been produced by the UK Government give advice and guidance on the safeguarding of children.

If you wish to discuss any matter relating to the content of any of these documents, please call into school and ask for Mr Martin, Mrs Ball, Mrs Barker or Mrs K. Elliott.
