Permanent Class Teacher

This post would suit an experienced teacher wishing to broaden their experience, or an ambitious and energetic NQT.

SEN Teaching Assistant

Required as soon as possible

Temporary until July 2024 in the first instance – working mornings in Early Years

Term time only.

Band 3 Point 2

(£11.59 per hour / £22,366 FTE)

The children, staff and Governing Body of this successful, friendly and popular school are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant to work supporting a child with SEND.

The candidate we are looking for must have:

  • The ability to manage complex learning needs including personal care
  • The ability to work as part of a team and use their own initiative
  • A commitment to helping each child fulfil their potential
  • Good communication and ICT skills
  • A good sense of humour and enjoy working with children
  • A calm, positive and confident manner and be prepared to help support the learning and personal care of the supported child
  • Good organisational skills and be self motivated with high expectations
  • The ability to liaise with external agencies
  • GCSE English and Maths or equivalent e.g. Adult Literacy/Numeracy at level 1.
  • An awareness of safeguarding issues
